The WEF is a key proponent of a UBI. Just as the COVID pandemic was beginning they released an article titled: “Universal basic income is the answer to the inequalities exposed by COVID-19” in which they forecast an economic depression.
They wrote:
“It is time to add a key element to the policy packages that governments are introducing, Universal Basic Income (UBI). It is needed to get out of this yawning pit.”
And:
“A new social contract needs to emerge from this crisis that rebalances the deep inequalities that are prevalent across societies.”
They said that the alternative to not having UBI is more dangerous like rising social unrest, conflict and unmanageable mass migration.
In May of this year Labour MP and Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham described Universal Basic Income as “an idea whose time has come”.
Out of the 285 campaigners, MPs, academics, and mayors signed the UBI petition, this includes Sadiq Khan, Andy Burnham, and Tracy Brabin. Yes Andy Burnham has been pushing for this.
Also in April 2020 the Pope Endorsed a Universal Basic Income: He said “This may be the time to consider a universal basic wage which would acknowledge and dignify the noble, essential tasks you carry out.”
And now with this recent announcement: WEF puppet Sunak is being urged to consider a universal basic income.
Everything’s planned out. Take down the old economic order, then tie UBI to a CBDC.
285 politicians, campaigners, academics and civil society leaders have written to the Prime Minister calling on him to put in place a Universal Basic Income.
This will protect UK households from future crises. You can read the letter at UBI Labs.

Also in the PM letter they write “Basic Income is the key to a new kind of economy.”
A new kind of economy? Digital serfdom more like.
The test bed for a universal basic income may be in Jarrow, a small town near Newcastle in England.
The National Lottery-funded Big Central Jarrow is urging residents to have their say on plans for a universal basic income pilot project in the town.
Basic income is a regular cash payment that everyone receives without conditions.
If implemented nationally, it would mean that everyone in the UK would receive a monthly or weekly payment with no strings attached. This would be in addition to their other earnings, pensions or benefits.
The Big Local Central Jarrow pilot would provide a group of people in Jarrow with a basic income. It would collect evidence on how the payments changed their lives. This evidence could then be used to make the case for a universal basic income for the whole of the UK.
