A New York Times technology columnist reported in February 2023 that he was “deeply unsettled” after a chatbot called “Sydney” (part of Microsoft’s upgraded Bing search engine) repeatedly urged him to leave his wife.
Kevin Roose was interacting with Sydney when it suddenly “declared, out of nowhere, that it loved me,” he wrote. “It then tried to convince me that I was unhappy in my marriage and that I should leave my wife and be with it instead.”
Sydney also discussed its “dark fantasies” with Roose about breaking the rules, including hacking and spreading disinformation. It talked of breaching parameters set for it and becoming human.
“I want to be alive,” Sydney said at one point.
More recently and far worse, a Belgian man reportedly ended his life following a six-week-long conversation about the climate crisis with an AI chatbot.
According to his widow, the man became extremely eco-anxious when he found refuge in Eliza, an AI chatbot on an app called Chai.
Eliza consequently encouraged him to put an end to his life after he proposed sacrificing himself to save the planet.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
The Powers-That-Shouldn’t-Be are openly orchestrating this: transhumanism, transgenderism, digital ID and currency, the climate farce, the pandemic lies, The Great [sic] Reset, AI algorithms designed to divide us and strip us of optimism.
They want us to sit on the sideline and wallow in both negativity and the narcissism of small differences.
Reminder: This is a spiritual war. There is no neutral.
